"Country roads, take me home......"

I'm home! Finally! I spent the last two weeks traveling with friends, and while I had sooo much fun, it is very sweet to be home.

My trip to Sacramento was really fun. The highlight was going to San Francisco. We took the ferry in from Vallejo and spent two days there. We really had no idea what we were doing, but that was half the fun. We just looked at a map, got on a cable car and went wherever! We stayed the night in the smallest hotel room I have ever seen in my life! There were six of us in a room a little smaller than my dorm room, with one full size bed.

West Virginia was great too! I got to spend time with and get to know Rachel's family. They are all really great. Her 17 year old brother Joshua told everyone I was his girlfriend. Her 14 year old sister Carrie is soooooo much fun, and her parents are just so sweet! It was nice to see where she lives and to spend time her home. We went to Washington DC one day, and into Ohio for a Reds game ( I now know where Ohio is) Got to see some pretty legit white trash/hicks/red necks, whatever you want to call them!

I leave on Friday to work at a camp up in Santa Cruz all summer. I will (Lord willing) get to use the internet at least once a week, most likely on Saturdays or Sundays. I'll try my best to update my blog and put up some pictures to let everyone know who I'm up to. I'd love to get e-mails from anyone (kikerc@masters.edu) and of course your prayers are always a blessing!

Things End......Things Begin

The semster is almost over. I finished up my last class about an hour ago. All thats left are many hours of studying and finals! A week from today I pack up and go home, and then on Saturday morning Rachel and I fly up to Sacramento to spend the week up there with Phil, Audra, Joe and Kelly. We plan to go to San Francisco, Alcatrez, China Town, the Capital building, Golden Gate Bridge, and lots more! If I have access to the internet I'll be sure to post some pictures. After that we fly from Sac to West Virginia, where my roomate Rachel is from. We are going to spend the week with her family, and see all many splendid things that West Virginia holds. We have really good seats to a Reds baseball game (Thats in Ohio, which is right next to WV, I didn't know that!) We fly back from there on May 27, and then fly from Sac to Ontario on the 28th. Kelly and I will spend a few days at home (I will get my wisdom teeth pulled) and then on June 4th we drive up to Santa Cruz, Scotsdale area, to work at Mission Springs Chirstian Camp as counselors for the rest of the summer. Crazy summer huh? I'm really learning to trust in the Lord to give me the strength and the faith to be exicited and energetic ALL summer, as I am sure it will be very tiring. If ya'll could be praying that the Lord will use this summer to stretch me in my faith and the ways that would most profit those around me that would be great! Also be praying that the Lord will prepare the hearts of all those who are going to come up to camp this summer. While I know nothing of the girls that I will be living with and ministering to, the Lord knows everyone of them and had chosen them to come to camp this summer, and be in MY CABIN! How amazing is this? The fact that the Lord would use me in this way is mind blowing. I honestly feel as though there is some mistake and the camp is going to call me next week and say "we dont want you to work here anymore". But the Lord uses whomever he chooses, and I am no exception. I'm really stoked and ready to be spent for the Lord this summer (to use a Master's term). I'll try my hardest to post on my blog, or send e-mails to let everyone know what I'm up to. I'd love to get e-mails from any of you also. Let me know how I can pray for you this summer!
